WQ0003083000 Occidental Chemical Water Quality Permit Renewal​

Renews authorization for treated wastewater and stormwater discharges from an existing plant into Corpus Christi Bay and legally allows pollution to be discharged into our waterways​

Includes 2 modification requests, and 1 amendment. Increase in air emissions that will impact public health. There is a pending violation for exceeding air emissions already!

WQ0005473000 Project YaREN Water Discharge Permit

Permit to discharge water used for cooling of industrial equipment into the bay. This will have increased salinity and pollutants which can cause harm to marine life.

Ingleside ammonia plant to obtain water from the bay that will be used to cool equipment. Damage to marine life (mesh not small enough). Permit is not complete.

Expedited permit process to create 2 VLCC (very large crude-oil carrier) docks at 1200 ft in length each. 3.5 million cubic feet of sediment to be dredged and placed on Barry Island. Will increase boat traffic near IOB and be detrimental to sea life.
