Environmental Data Analyst & Field Tech


Environmental Data Analyst & Field TechPart-Time | $20/hour
Coastal Watch Association is seeking a part-time Environmental Data Analyst & Field Tech to support our air monitoring network and community science work. This position combines field-based data collection with data analysis and reporting to help track air and water conditions and support evidence-based advocacy.
The Environmental Data Analyst & Field Tech will deploy and maintain monitoring equipment, collect environmental samples, analyze large datasets, and translate findings into clear reports and visualizations. This role also includes working directly with community members who host air monitors and supporting quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance.
This is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote work, community engagement, and outdoor fieldwork. Schedule flexibility is available, though hours may vary based on monitoring and research needs.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Field data collection and equipment operation
  • Data analysis, visualization, and reporting
  • Environmental monitoring and compliance support
  • Equipment maintenance and technical support
  • ​Community engagement and education


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Experience with environmental monitoring, field sampling, and data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
