Petrochemical Plants

Taking advantage of various property tax abatement programs, including Chapter 313s, Chapter 312s, and Industrial Development Agreements (IDAs), several large petrochemical companies have set up residence along Corpus Christi Bay in San Patricio County. These include:
  • Corpus Christi Liquefaction (Cheniere LNG)
  • Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (Exxon-SABIC)
  • Chemours
  • OxyChem
  • Ingleside Ethylene
  • voestalpine

Petrochemical Facilities in San Patricio County

IOBCWA helps challenge permits for various petrochemical facilities that have located along La Quinta Channel in San Patricio County.
  • Corpus Christi Liquefaction is run by Cheniere, one of the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) companies.
  • Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (Exxon-Mobil and Saudi Arabia Basic Industries (SABIC)) has built the world's largest ethane cracker.
  • Other petrochemicals include Chemours, Ingleside Ethylene, Occidental, and voestalpine.
